(2017) SCIC-2017, paragraphs 206 to 211 (2019) SCIC-2019 noted the USA’s bilateral engagement with Viet Nam and Australia’s work in the Southeast Asian region (SCIC-2019, paragraph 7). Since 2019, INTERPOL has collaborated with CCAMLR to raise awareness and coordinate actions across a wide range of non-Members to combat IUU fishing in the Convention Area, leading to positive outcomes in relation to some vessels (see CCAMLR-40, paragraph 4.24, SCIC-2022 paragraphs 112 – 113). (2023) International cooperation between Members, the Secretariat, INTERPOL, International MCS Network Joint Analytical Cell, Panama Mauritius and Bolivia resulted in the Cobija being placed on the NCP-IUU list (SCIC-2023 paragraph 141).
