La Commission pour la conservation de la faune et la flore marines de l'Antarctique (CCAMLR) a effectué une évaluation de performance en 2008, laquelle a donné lieu à des recommandations de nature très diverses qui ont été traitées par la Commission et le Comité scientifique (Première évaluation de la performance de la CCAMLR).
En 2016, la CCAMLR a décidé d'entreprendre une seconde évaluation de performance (CCAMLR-XXXV, annexe 8).

In 2016, CCAMLR decided to undertake a second Performance Review (CCAMLR-XXXV, Annex 8).

CCAMLR Workshop on Spatial Management (WS-SM-18) from 2 to 6 July 2018 and
CCAMLR Working Group on Ecosystem Monitoring and Management (WG-EMM) from 9 to 13 July 2018.
On behalf of the Scientific Committee Bettina Meyer (Germany) received the mandate to initiate a krill specialist group within SCAR’s Life Sciences Group with strong linkage to CCAMLR. In this regard a proposal was submitted on 18th February 2018 to SCAR (see attachment). The defence of the proposal is on the 18th June 2018 at the SCAR Open Science Conference in Davos. An update on the further steps will be given at the meeting.
