Description / Abstract:

The toothfish and skate tagging manual has been developed with the assistance of the South African delegation and the Coalition of Legal Toothfish Operators (COLTO). The manual was presented and endorsed by the Working Group on Fish Stock Assessment in 2024 (WG-FSA-IMAF-2024/40) and contains information on how to correctly tag toothfish and skates, including guidance on fish handling techniques and recommendations to ensure correct recording of tagging data.
