Manuals

Resources for CCAMLR Designated Inspectors are provided in a separate section of the website. The hard-copy version of the Inspectors Manual is currently not available.

In order to assist CCAMLR Members and their observers in planning observation programs and recording data, the CCAMLR Secretariat, in consultation with the Scientific Committee and its working groups, have revised the Scientific Observers Manual (2011). The Scientific Observer's Manuals for Finfish and Krill Fisheries contain guidance on standard tasks and requirements for observers, as well as supplementary information to aid data collection requirements for toothfish (Dissostichus spp.), mackerel icefish (Champsocephalus gunnari) and Antarctic krill (Euphausia superba) fisheries.

CEMP Methods The CCAMLR Ecosystem Monitoring Program Standard Methods (787.42 KB) provides guidance on data collection to monitor potential annual impacts due to harvesting.
CEMP Methods The Fishery Data Manual – C2 longline fisheries – Version 2023 (651.1 KB) covers the terms and methods that are used for the collection of data by vessels in CCAMLR Longline fisheries, instructions on completing the fine-scale catch and effort (C2) forms, and information on the relevant regulations that apply to CCAMLR longline fisheries.
