The Statistical Bulletin is updated annually and includes:
- catches and fishing effort for all fisheries in the CAMLR Convention Area by fishing season
- catch histories for selected species
- global landings and trades of toothfish reported under the Catch Documentation Scheme by species (Dissostichus eleginoides and D. mawsoni) and calendar year
- seabed areas in the Convention Area.
Catches and fishing effort are reported by fishing season (1 December to 30 November of the following year) and assigned to the Flag States (unless indicated otherwise). The summaries are based on monthly fishery statistics (STATLANT data) which are derived from haul-by-haul data reported to the Secretariat and verified by the national statistics offices of CCAMLR Members. Catches are expressed in live weight in metric tonnes.
Landings and trades of toothfish (D. eleginoides and D. mawsoni) are reported by calendar year, starting in 2000. The geographic location of export and import is used to assign export, re-export and import countries or entities. Catches, landings and exports reported by some countries or entities may include data in respect of their overseas territories. Weights are expressed as processed weight or estimated live weight in metric tonnes.
The CCAMLR Statistical Bulletin, Vol. 28 (2.03 MB) contains the complete time series of catches, fishing effort, landings and trades. In addition, catch data for target species may be visualised and downloaded from the CCAMLR Fisheries page (Krill fisheries, Icefish fisheries, Toothfish fisheries). Earlier volumes are available from the Statistical Bulletin – Archive.
