Sat C - polling undertaken by St Helena Government. Backup BlueTracker system. Will participate in CCAMLR C-VMS. The vessel is fitted with an BlueTraker VMS device. The BlueTraker VMS device on-board is secured in a single housing with no possibility to separate the GPS receiver from the transmitter. The single housing that surrounds the BlueTraker VMS device is protected by an adhesive seal

The vessel is fitted with an independent Electronic Monitoring system (EM) which records all gear setting and hauling events and deployment of the bird bycatch mitigation streamer lines. This EM system consists of high definition visible and infra-red video cameras recording to tamper-proof hard drives. The data is synchronised to an accurate (+/- 10m) GPS feed with position reports stored at 15 second intervals when the vessel is at sea.
The system is installed and supported by an independent supplier and the data is made directly available to the Flag State.
