In order to manage the marine ecosystems in the CCAMLR Convention Area surrounding Antarctica, CCAMLR has implemented a range of rules and regulations to facilitate conservation of Antarctic marine living resources, alongside fishing activities. CCAMLR annually publishes the Schedule of Conservation Measures in Force with new and updated measures. These measures are binding to all Members in the CAMLR Convention Area. Conservation Measures prior to 1989 were published in the Commission reports.
