NCP IUU Vessel List 2012
On 29 March 2014 the Australian Rescue Coordination Centre (RCC) detected a signal from Emergency Position Indication Radio Beacon (EPIRB) approximately 350 nm north of the Antarctic mainland in the Australian Search and Rescue Region. Australia was unable to establish communications with the vessel and the nature of distress was unknown. The vessel was not located but multiple items of debris were sighted in the approximate location of the beacon signal. Based on the sighting of debris, RCC concluded that either a considerable amount of deck equipment had been swept overboard and the vessel continued passage but remains unable to be contacted and search aircraft were unable to locate it or the vessel foundered and all crew entered the water at around the time the emergency beacon was detected.
Lloyds Sea Web recorded this vessel's status as "total loss".
