The main objective of this research is to collect various biological and physical data on Dissostichus spp. in Divisions 58.4.4a and 58.4.4b which is important information for assessing the status of these stocks. No information related to recent stock size exists in this area due to the prohibition of direct fishing since 2002. It has been five years since this prohibition, and it is of great interest to know the current stock size. Also, tagging activities during this survey will contribute to the future investigation on the distribution and population structure of Dissostichus spp.. A notification is submitted in Accordance with paragraph 3 of Conservation Measure 24-01.
