The early life history of the Patagonian toothfish Dissostichus eleginoides Smitt, 1898
Abstract: Patagonian toothfish, Dissostichus eleginoides, spawn over the continental slope from July to September. Eggs have been observed primarily in the upper part of the water column over 2200-4400 m bottom depth. Embryos in stage III and IV of their embryonic development are described.

An attempt to derive a composite index of abundance from acoustic surveys and fishery data
Abstract: Maps of krill (Euphausia superba) density derived from acoustic survey data and the distribution of fishing effort in the Chilean krill fishery indicate an area of high krill density wrapping around the northwestern end of Elephant Island during the austral summer of 1992. In this area,

Preliminary model of krill fishery behaviour in Subarea 48.1
Abstract: A simple deterministic model is described which models the behaviour of the krill fishery in Subarea 48.1 and estimates the effort applied and the catch of krill in fine-scale squares. Parameters for the model are calculated from data reported to CCAMLR by Chile over the period 1989 to

The early life history and the onset of scale formation in the Patagonian toothfish, Dissostichus eleginoides Smitt, 1898
Abstract: Patagonian toothfish, Dissostichus eleginoides, spawn in July to September. Hatching is likely to occur in October/November. Scales do not start to form before the fish are 64-74 mm long. It is far from being resolved when the first 'winter ring' is formed. Available
