La troisième réunion spéciale de la Commission pour la conservation de la faune et la flore marines de l'Antarctique (CCAMLR), consacrée exclusivement à la question des aires marines protégées, s'est terminée aujourd'hui à Santiago, au Chili. Cette réunion était présidée par Vitalii Tsymbaliuk (Ukraine).
Finalizó en Santiago, Chile, la Tercera Reunión Especial de Comisión para la Conservación de los Recursos Vivos Marinos Antárticos (CCRVMA), centrada exclusivamente en el tema de las áreas marinas protegidas. La Reunión fue presidida por el Sr. Vitalii Tsymbaliuk (Ucrania).
La Comisión ha establecido ya dos áreas marinas protegidas en alta mar, el AMP de la Plataforma Meridional de las Islas Orcadas del Sur y el AMP de la Región del Mar de Ross, y cuenta con una medida de conservación vigente que regula el establecimiento de AMP.
Третье специальное совещание Комиссии по сохранению морских живых ресурсов Антарктики (АНТКОМ), которое было посвящено исключительно вопросу морских охраняемых районов, завершилось сегодня в Сантьяго, Чили. Совещание проходило под председательством г-на Виталия Цымбалюка (Украина).
Комиссия ранее уже создала два морских охраняемых района в открытом море – МОР на Южном шельфе Южных Оркнейских островов и МОР в регионе моря Росса, а также приняла Меру по сохранению, регулирующую процедуры выделения МОР.
The Third Special Meeting of the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR), which was focused exclusively on the issue of Marine Protected areas, concluded today in Santiago, Chile. The meeting was chaired by Mr Vitalii Tsymbaliuk (Ukraine).
The Commission has previously implemented two high-seas marine protected areas, the South Orkney Islands southern shelf MPA and the Ross Sea Region MPA, and has in place a conservation measure governing the procedures for designation of MPAs.
The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gloria de la Fuente, will today open the Third Special Meeting of the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR).
The Acting Minister will welcome policy makers and resource managers representing 27 international delegations, who will discuss progress towards the development of a representative system of Marine Protected Areas in the waters surrounding Antarctica. The meeting is hosted by the Government of Chile in the Intercontinental Hotel, Santiago.
