    Abstract

The primary objective of CCAMLR’s Development of a Compliance Evaluation Procedure (DoCEP) is to develop a standard evaluation procedure to evaluate performance of vessels with conservation measures. The DoCEP process commenced in 2007 with the identification and formation of an intersessional working group. In the intervening period, there has been a DoCEP workshop, held in Bergen in Norway in 2009, which made significant progress and reported its outcomes to CCAMLR XXVIII. Further work has been conducted intersessionally and this paper reports on 2010/11 intersessional developments and proposes a compliance model for discussion in SCIC and the Commission.
